Incheon Airport Late Arrival: Night Bus, Last AREX Train or Taxi?

Quick answer

  • Last AREX (airport rail) train to Seoul Station: 23:38[1] from T1, 23:32[1] from T2.
  • Later: a night bus or a taxi. No bus leaves T1 from 02:10 to 03:40 (T2: 01:50–03:20). [2, 3]
  • Count from when you are out of the terminal, not from landing: allow 1–2 hours for immigration. [4]

No N6701 stop is named Myeongdong; check on a map whether Seoul Station or Euljiro 1-ga Station is nearer your hotel. [9]

  • Child fare: ages 6 to 12 on N6701 and N6703, by their operator. Airport Limousine (N6000, N6002) lets one child under 6 ride free with a paying passenger if the child needs no seat of its own; its page does not give the age range for the child fare. [9, 10]
  • Luggage, free with each ticket: 2 items up to 40 kg in total on N6701 and N6703; 2 bags including carry-on, up to 20 kg each, on N6000 and N6002. Each extra bag costs half the fare. [6, 10]

Taxi: where to stand and what it costs

Follow the taxi signs out of arrivals to the numbered stand for your kind of taxi. Stand numbers are from the airport's taxi page. [5]

International Taxi takes cash or Visa, Amex and Mastercard; book 24 hours ahead or use its information booth at T1 or T2. Call vans (unofficial taxis) that approach you inside the terminal are not official. [5, 11]

Where to buy and booth hours come from each operator's page. [6, 14] The last column comes from the Korea Tourism Organization's payment chart for airport limousine buses, AREX and taxis; it does not list the night routes one by one. A Tmoney card (Korea's prepaid transit card) also pays for buses and trains; convenience stores sell it, and the airport lists 24-hour CU stores in T1's public 1F area (near Exits 2 and 13 and arrival gates B and E); whether they stock Tmoney is not confirmed. [15, 16] More in how to pay for transport with a foreign card.

If you decide to wait at the airport

The airport lists these as open 24 hours: KB Bank and Woori Bank currency exchanges on 1F, the roaming centers of the three mobile carriers on 1F, and the Capsule Hotel Darakhyu in the Transportation Center (Basement 1 on the airport's list, 1F on the hotel's page: follow the signs). The two shower rooms in the 4F transfer lounges are listed 05:00–23:00, so they are not an overnight option. [17, 18]

Darakhyu's own page lists weekday overnight rates from ₩69,000; weekends and holidays may differ. Its notice says Terminal 1 stays on or after 18 Jan 2027 cannot be booked; Terminal 2 keeps operating. [19, 20] At T2, Darakhyu's branch is on B1 of the Transportation Center, with reception and showers open 24 hours and the same weekday overnight rates from ₩69,000. [21, 22] For regular hotel rooms with a free shuttle, see hotels near the terminals, or all of the Incheon Airport hotels side by side.

Common traps

  • Counting from landing instead of from when you are out of the terminal. [4]
  • Boarding a later all-stop expecting Seoul Station: the night's last all-stop from T1 and T2 ends at Digital Media City. [1]
  • Trusting an old train time: AREX changed its timetable on 23 Oct 2026. [23]
  • Assuming T2 is the same as T1: its bus departures and last trains differ.
